Auditions for In The Heights are literally around the corner. They will be held November 4th, 5th, and possibly the 6th in the PAC, Room 722, after school all three days.
Wednesday will be an audition for singing and dance, so bring your prepared voice. Thursday will be the audition for acting, and Friday will be callbacks depending on how difficult the show is to cast. Be sure to check upstairs in the PAC for updates on Friday during school to see if you are called back.
All those auditioning MUST be there both Wednesday and Thursday after school, and Friday if your name is listed in callbacks.
In The Heights is a production based in the ghettos of Washington Heights. The show revolves around themes of family, love and strife.
Lively and attention-demanding, In The Heights is filled with rap, dance, rhythm and vivid Hispanic culture. The show has touching moments, loud and soft moments, and thoughtful things to remember.
Along with its themes, its characters are various and many. Nina is the only girl in her family who has gone to college and come back home to her home in Washington Heights. Vanessa has lived here her whole life and longs for adventure outside. Usnavi is the man who lives in the center of everything around himself, and loves others while he sees their struggles. So many more characters are to be filled in, along with a high energy ensemble group.
