Last week we lost Arlevia Livingston, a beloved senior here at Logan.

Friday, we honored her memory by wearing her favorite color, green, then releasing balloons on the track in her memory. Her memorial service was held on Saturday at Kitayama Elementary School and the viewing is today at the Bryan-Baker Funeral Home in Fairfield from 5:00PM to 9:00PM.

Tomorrow, her funeral services will be held at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at Fairfield. It starts at 11:00AM.  If you wish to attend services but do not have transportation there will be school buses provided for you. Coach Webb and Green plan to take as many students as they can. Unfortunately, there are only two buses. The only thing you have to do is have your parents call the school to dismiss you.

“The priority goes to the teams she was on,” Webb said. “There’s extra seats so if they came and they were friends- it can’t be open to everyone obviously. But students can get excused from class.”

Teachers are also welcome to go as substitutes will be provided.

If you cannot attend or wish to help support in some other way, donations for the cost of the funeral as well as other great programs are being accepted. The Livingston family has put up a fundraiser on Crowdrise called ‘A Hope for Change.’ In it, it recognizes two amazing organizations, SAVE and The Trevor Project. They both help with the issue of suicide.Their goal is fifteen thousand dollars and the amount received now is 18,283 which will most likely increase.
