‘Hotline Bling’ singer, Drake recently just dropped an entire album called: What a Time to Be Alive, with rapper Future on Sunday. The 11 track album has an array of cool collective tones, but also come along with several hyped up hits.

The album starts off with “Digital Dash”, which is full of bass and has a medium tempo to it. Future starts off the hit, and hits home with his catchy flow and impressive wordplay. Drake later comes in on the track, giving us nothing but phenomenal flow and too much wordplay too keep up with. Though this seemed to have more Future than Drake, this was definitely Drake’s track.

A couple tracks down, Drake and Future hit us with yet another medium tempo track, “Diamonds Diamonds.” With Future’s vocals starting out the track, it already gives out a tranquil tone. Drake comes in and steals the show with his vocal riffs, but Future steals it right back with his vocals. It was a battle of the vocals, and they both did nothing but amazing on this track. It was a love track, and I sure did love listening to it.

Later on in the album, we get a slow tempo “Plastic Bag” which begins with Drake repeating the chorus. Future comes in later on the track, and it is an easy pace non competitive song of peace. Whilst listening to the song you wouldn’t even realize the meaning behind the vulgar lyrics.

All in all, What a Time to Be Alive was a great record. With nice production, amazing vocals, and catchy tunes, I would give this record 5/5 stars. It’s unique, something we haven’t heard before. Although this isn’t an album you can listen to with your younger siblings, or with your parents, it definitely is a diverse album many would enjoy.
