BØRNS is a 23 year old indie singer from Michigan. His birth name is Garrett Borns and he rose to fame in 2014 when he released his first single, “10,000 Emerald Pools” on Interscope records. At the same time he released his first EP titled “Candy.”
Just recently he released his very first full length L.P. called “Dopamine.” It has eleven songs. So far, the only single from the album is called “The Emotion.”
Some of my most liked songs are “American Money”, “Electric Love” and “Overnight Sensation.”
“American Money” is the fourth track of the album and it’s a kind of mysterious song. Borns’ vocals in this song are so trippy. It has a psychedelic vibe to it. My favorite lyrics are, “so take me to the paradise, in your eyes, green like American money.”
Another tune that I really enjoy is “Electric Love” because ever since it was released on the Candy EP, I fell in love with it. It is so catchy and the lyrics are fun. The sound is enjoyable and it is a song that is very care free. Borns’ vocals are very relaxing and I always sing along.
“Overnight Sensation” is a great song on this album because it is different. The melodies compliment each other and it is very chill. I want to vibe to it all the time.
I noticed that with this album, I would play it all the time. I can tell that this record is for people who just want to have fun but also feel something when they listen to music. It is one of those albums you don’t get tired of and probably won’t any time soon.
