Activision decides to make a remaster for the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare game, which is often praised to be the game that revolutionized the shooter genre.

The game, while maintaining its original art style and offering a nostalgic feeling for players, significantly improves its graphics.  For example, as the player first meets Captain Price, he/she will realize the improved and more detailed facial textures of him.

It feels like a completely new game and whoever has not played the original is in for a treat. The characters are lovable and the missions are extremely action packed, especially the mission “All Ghillied Up.”

My experience with the game is back in 2007 with the original and I never experienced a game so good in my life. The game felt unique and I put a lot of hours into it because I was trying to complete this on Veteran difficulty.

Before the release, Activision uploaded a video on YouTube which is the most hated game trailer today. One of the reasons were that infinite warfare looked terrible in the trailer and fans figured out that Activision has been delivering the same game for almost a decade now.  Others complained that Modern Warfare remastered is not sold separately.

Activision’s decision not to sell the remastered Call of Duty 4 separately was a huge mistake because some fans wanted the remaster but not infinite warfare. Fans had to pay eighty dollars for a game they don’t want.

Many Call of Duty fans still have not picked up the remaster yet because of this horrible decision. This game is the successor of the Call of Duty franchise, yet Activision decides to use it to boost sells of new games.  This may be the breaking point for the Call of Duty franchise.
