A wild game of San Francisco Giants in New York started another journey for a postseason run to win their 4th title.
A pitchers duel in the game showed great presentation of pitching dominance, with New York Mets’ Noah Syndergaard carried out 10 strikeouts. Madison Bumgarner showed off his historic postseason dominance against the Mets with 6 strikeouts and a complete game shutout. These Pitchers presented what an ace pitcher can do and performed in tight game situations, exemplifying what it takes to win a postseason.
The Hitters tried all they can against Syndergaard and Bumgarner but always came up short, with even great hitters like Yoenis Cespedes and Buster Posey. This game kept many fans off their seats, with 8 scoreless innings of great defense and pitching, keeping both teams offensive. Until Brandon Crawford started the inning off with a leadoff double, Angel Pagan tried to lay down a bunt, but ended up striking out. Joe Panik took a walk against the Mets and Jeurys Familia carried out the 8th hitter for the giants. Conor Gillaspie then hit a memorable 3-run homer to give the Giants a lead.
The game ended with a Giants’ win and Madison Bumgarner carrying out a complete game shutout. The Giants will now face the Cubs in game set on Friday October 7th with Johnny Cueto starting game 1 for the Giants against Jon Lester and the Cubs at Wrigley Field 6:00pm.
